Please note that
admission applications and scholarship applications are separate, except for
scholarships offered by NYMU. Applicants who win any scholarship award are NOT
guaranteed a university entrance admission, and vice versa. |

Overview |
| |
There are TWO types of Yang-Ming Scholarship offered to foreign students. |

NT$ 20,000 (2 years)
|
| |
|
Tuition fees, accommodation, insurance and miscellaneous fees are all included in the scholarship herein stated. |

(2) |
Waive tuition and miscellaneous school fees (Only for Graduate students ) |
| |
|

How to apply |
| |
The application has to pass through Taiwan Embassies in allied countries. Taiwan Embassies screen qualification of applicants first, and send qualified applicants to below universities participating inTaiwan International Cooperation Alliance (TICA), in consultation with TaiwanICDF.
Please also note two application forms need to be filled in. One for the applied program and the other for TaiwanICDF scholarship. TaiwanICDF scholarship application form can only be got at Taiwan Embassy. |

Taiwan Scholarship
|
 |
Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) Scholarship
Awarded to recipients from countries that have diplomatic ties with Taiwan, or from countries specified as diplomatically favorable by MOFA, for undergraduate or postgraduate programs as well as the pre-degree Mandarin Language Enrichment Program (LEP).
Benefits:economy-class roundtrip airfare for a direct-route flight and a monthly stipend of NT$30,000 (approx. US$900).
Ministry of Education (MOE) Scholarship
Awarded to recipients from countries other than those specified in the MOFA Scholarship for undergraduate or postgraduate programs as well as the pre-degree Mandarin Language Enrichment Program (LEP).
Benefits:a monthly stipend of NT$25,000 (approx. US$750) for undergraduate or LEP programs, or NT$30,000 (approx. US$900) for postgraduate programs.
National Science Council (NSC) Scholarship
Awarded to recipients from countries other than those specified in the MOFA Scholarship for postgraduate programs.
Benefits: a monthly stipend of NT$30,000 (approx. US$900).
Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) Scholarship
Awarded to recipients from countries other than those specified in the MOFA Scholarship for postgraduate programs only in fields involving scientific technology and agriculture.
Benefits:a monthly stipend of NT$30,000 (approx. US$900). |

Democratic Pacific Union (DPU) Graduate Scholarships Program
|
 |
- Master’s Scholarships (2 years):Scholarships in the amount of NT$30,000 per month will be provided for qualified foreign students who want to pursue their master’s degrees at univerisities/colleges in Taiwan for the maximum of 2 years, non-extendable.
- Ph.D. Scholarships (3 years):Owing to budget cut, there will be NO Ph.D
scholarship this year.
- Tuition, accommodation, insurance and miscellaneous fees are all included in the
scholarships herein stated.
- Recipients will be provided with a one-way economy-class airline ticket from
recipient’s home country to Taiwan. Upon the completion of this degree program, the recipient will be provided with a one-way conomy-class airline ticket from Taiwan to recipient’s home country.
This program is for new students only. Students already enrolled in a Master program in Taiwan shall not apply. Students awarded with this scholarship are not allowed to receive another scholarship in Taiwa |
